NASS 2010

July 13th, 2010

NASS has been and gone for this year already and it was onc hell of a weekend!

Marcus was entered into the street comp, but unfortunately didn’t progress any further. That was down to a couple of things; His comp run didnt reflect how he had been skating in the practices at all, so he placed 22. If the format of the skateboarding competitions stayed the same as originally planned, he would have qualified and had another shot to skate the way he should have been! Unfortunately though, they merged the UK Street and WCS qualifiers, only progressing the top 21 UK street skaters.

Tough luck for Marcus. Although a little bummed-out by it, it just meant the drinking could begin!

We will be back next year, and so should you all! Read the full review of NASS 2010 here.

NASS This weekend

July 6th, 2010

It’s that time of year again, festivals are rolling out all over the place. The biggest one on all of your calendars should be NASS (National Adventure Sports Show).

For those that don’t know about NASS, it’s basically the biggest UK extreme sports festival. They have been going strong for several years now and having been taken over by Sports Vision (the people responsible for Boardmasters, Big Freeze etc.) a few years back, the event has been getting better and better.

Last year saw the introduction on the Goliath ramp – a smaller version of the X-games Mega-ramp. This year sees the World Cup of Skateboarding come along, so expect some big names in there.

It’s not too late to get tickets, about £70 a pop, but thats for the full 3 days – loads of music, comps, free stuff, cheap stores etc.

Read our review on NASS in 2008. (because i missed 2009!). And get onto the NASS website for loads of info on Band line-ups etc.
