International Go Skateboarding Day Mission 2010

It’s a bit of a mouth-full, ‘International Go Skateboarding Day’, and I think you would be surprised at how many people just don’t know about it! It’s a day for all skateboarders around the world to drop all responsibilities and just go skateboarding.
We managed to gather most of the boys with only a few not being able to make it; Marcus, Jasper, Murray, Sam, Nick, Wiggy, Ad, Aiden and Harvey all made it for the mission that started at Shoreham Skatepark (read the Review!).
You need to read the review on this park and bowl – then go there just to see how crazy it is! Ad was getting some MAD back-side nose-grab carves on the 100% authentic pool coping.
The rest of the lads were just stomping round, pumping the shit out of those lovely corners. Marcus managed to stick a FS rock in the deep end.
After a little session in the street section and some McDonalds light refreshments, we packed up and headed for Uckfield.
When we got there we were STOKED to see it basically empty. The last time we were there it was a little over crowded. Unfortunately, because of the design of the park, it doesn’t take too many people to make it a chore to skate.
The kicker/euro to manual pad was going off, as was the rail/ledge on the other side.
The boys had a great session before Hay Fever got the better of Ad and Marcus who were balling their eyes out – so we moved on to our favorite warm-down bowl; Cuckfield.
After hitting some heavy traffic around Haywards Heath area, we made it to the bowl for the last session of the day.
After some antics with a tire, some FS coping bashing and some tired looking faces, we made a move from Cuckfield to head back home.
All in all, IGSD this year was a COMPLETE success; 3 parks, 10 troops and about 4 minutes of footage to go into this months edit. Thanks to all those that made it, and a shout out to those who didn’t – much love.
