Crawley Skatepark
February 23rd, 2009
A last minute trip was flung together in the heat of the moment to head up to Crawley Skatepark this Sunday past. For those most of you, Crawley needs no introduction. It is a rare site in England to see a park so well put together. The entire place is concrete, aside from the huge jump-box which is wooden. The park has a crazy bowl section with three depths – about 9ft at the deepest part – The Cradle as the highlight which inverts. There is also a reasonably sized ‘street line’ you could call it, consisting of long rails, short rails, a hubba, hip and another hip with curved block on top. And just to top the whole park off, its floodlit.
It was a car full that came with – Milly, Shep, Marcus, Sam and myself. Everyone had a nice sesh – good to see Marcus back on form and getting props all over the park. No footage taken, but some pretty pictures for you to feast your eyes on!
